Brazilian Information Technology Law
The new IT Law (Law No. 10,176, January 11 2001) offers benefits for companies providing IT and automation services.
Companies with projects approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MCT) can use funds from IPI (Industrial Products Tax) reductions (as much as 95%) to invest in research and development.
